This year, I bought the tickets in November just to avoid the disappointment like what happened last year, we were unable to get good seats.

The kids enjoyed the show very much so did the mommy:) This is our 3rd year attended the show, I guess it will continue until the girls turned 10 or 11.

Enjoy the pics!!

Allysha and her role as a Parrot

Concert Venue @ Perbandaran Putrajaya

the parents were informed earlier not to apply make up to the child as they're all will be face painted on the concert's day

She has been practising her role as a parrot for past few months..every monday she will come home..."1 bounce..2 bounce..3 bounce" because of that I was really looking forward for her concert..we even brought forward our trip to Phuket a week earlier just to make sure we won't miss her concert:)

Too bad, nenek was having her eye surgery in Singapore and Atuk has to accompany her so they had to miss the concert, I'm sure both Atuk and nenek would love to attend...as they are the one who have been sending and picking her up from school everyday.

In action

The students are singing negaraku

The theme is Jungle Comes Alive

We were late to get into the auditorium so had to settle quite far from the stage

Once a upon a time

When I read BitsandPieces 's entry one evening, immediately it brings back the memory years ago..I totally understand the fear she had:)

Well..I can say I'm the worst cook ever....having a mom who's really good in kitchen and spent most of my time away from home (sekolah berasrama penuh) and bila balik cuti sekolah..sure kena pampered tak payah masuk dapur...melonggok depan TV tunggu makanan masak macam tuan puteri..so the end result..mmg hampeeh in the kitchen..so I blame my mom for that..haa..haaa:)

The only thing I can cook well, desserts..since I have a very sweet tooth....even that when I first made the easiest cream caramel for my mother in law..gula rentung and pahit..issshhhh seriously embarassing..(tak nak ingat)

The ealier days of my marriage, to impress my husband i will get the recipes from friends and try out..and in many attempts..I will throw away and redo..so if you peeps only take 10 minutes, mine took 1 hour to complete plus yang kena buang and tumis balik etc....

But again..it takes a lot practice, practice makes perfect..well not yet perfect but at least my cooking now is edible laaa..at least to my kids and husband..haa...haaa:)

Twins have turned 4

home made- the chocolate layer-chiffon cake for Aryyana

the butter -layered chiffon for Aryya with chocolate ganache

The pasta from maklong, lontong and ayam sambal from nenek

I should be grateful for twins to be loved dearly by my in laws..including their Nyang (great grandmother), Nyaii (grand-auntie), Mak long (auntie)..and the list goes on... I know if anything happened to me, my kids will be in good hands.

My parents in law do not have many cucu...3 migrated and live in the States, one in Ausralia..so basically they really devoted the love to Allysha and the twins...initially I was a bit uneasy with the whole situation, it took years for me to finally realize...it's ok to share the love..and as soon as I'm willing to share with them..things get easier...alhamdulillah...:)

Ok..that's not what I intended to share here...it supposed about Twins who just turned 4 on August 30th..(they couldnt wait for merdeka day..same allysha on 3rd July, on eve of US independence day)

Since their birthday this year falls on fasting month, we decided to just send the party packs to school..but Nyaii (grand auntie) and Mak long decided to hold a small family gathering and bake the cakes...

I'm telling you it was a painstaking effort for them as both are amateurs...from the process of combining few layers of cake to get the right size to fit the pictures of barbie doll and thinkerbell..which at the end the pictures broke and they had to resort to other decorations....i just shook my head..definitely I would just call SugarPinkIcing for that amount of works...

Nenek was busy half a day in the kitchen preparing lontong..(the twins love lontong so much)...while preparing the cakes, a few of my auntie's colleagues dropped by, she proudly telling them she was preparing for her twins cucu's birthday...

Overall..the birthday might not be the glamorous one, but I know all the neneks, atoks, pakciks and makciks were very happy....the twins? well as long as there were gifts and people singing happy birthday..that would enough for them:)

We celebrated their birthday 2 days earlier since atok and nenek are going for umrah..so on the day itself (30th August) we celebrated again, this time we took them out for dinner..luckily I had recovered from high fever just in time to celebrate their birthday

@chillis : I asked her to smile..over-smiled pulak..
The twins saw this cake at Subang Empire Gallery..they insisted to have it..so another cake, quite small..butter cake with sugar cream icing, enough for 3 of them...

until next time..take care peeps.

Divorce should not be an option if.......

I'm not over the DIVORCE issue yet..it still bothers me...and when I read again the previous articles I feel that I'm all for DIVORCE, sort of encouraging..hence I feel responsible to share the other side of story....

I had a chat with another friend last week, who's also a divorcee, she's been divorced for more than 7 years now. We used to be colleagues together with a friend who just got divorced recently, when I get to know her then she just finalized her divorce.

I know what she went through..of course then she told me she has made the right decision as infidelity involved...she moved on..lucky for her as she's financially independent..but I know for the first 3 years she still could not get over the husband, let alone the other woman is a celebrity which make it harder as she'll always been updated about the husband's new life.

From the conversation with her last week, she said..she's against divorce 100% if no third party involved. She said regardless how much money you have, the kids need a father figure in the house..men, once they are out of the house..hardly to find someone who is responsible enough to to be there for the kids when they are in trouble etc..all left to the ex-wife. Basically after the divorce you are left alone!!! Not to mention about nafkah and all..especially if they know the wife is financially secured..

In her case, her teenage daughter blaming her for the family wreckage, that her mother didn't fight hard enough for her daddy....simply giving up. Now, the daughter is in a relationship. The mother found out she's begging the boyfriend not to leave her and even willing to share the boyfriend, when asked, she told the mother.."i dont want to be like you..you gave up too easily..you didnt fight for daddy" shocking isn't it?????

See....you never know your action which you thought the best for the kids turned out otherwise..must be devastating for the mother..little that the girl know..the mother suffered 2 years before she finally filed for divorce..lost 15 kg during those period of tremendous turmoil..she will spend hours in the bathroom throwing up, when the husband went down to call the girlfriend at night..of course she didnt tell that to the kids to protect him as father figure..and yet..you are blamed:(

Her advice...as much as you can, try to work out especially if no abuse or other woman involved ..Divorce should not be an option!

My Idol

Happy 25th anniversary!

Last weekend we celebrated my uncle's 25th anniversary. Looking at them..after 25 years, the love are getting stronger each day..you can feel it. My uncle travels a lot due to his nature of work...not a single trip he would leave the wife, he will make sure all the destinations he planned to go must include the wife..he told us..otherwise his stays are pretty much dull....awwww...how sweet to hear a husband say that:)

I truly inspired by this couple...and pray would be blessed with the love greater than this..insyaAllah:)

They organized a kenduri in the afternoon invited the colleagues, neightbours and relatives..at night they invited people from the mosque nearby for tahlil and doa selamat.

among the cakes contributed by friends and family

have a blessed week ahead peeps..
