Is this Raya ads or X-mas??

Have you peeps watched the fairy tale like Raya ads from TV3? I was a bit disturbed...it so obbvious that TV3 doesnt realize the sensitivity of muslim in Malaysia. I know they are trying to incorporate 1Malaysia, but santa claus alike???

Someone in corporate comm..should be responsible. This is a religion celebration for god sake!!

Watch this yourself..it's just so improper in many places..*sigh*

Twins have turned 4

I should be grateful for twins to be loved dearly by my in laws..including their Nyang (great grandmother), Nyaii (grand-auntie), Mak long (auntie)..and the list goes on... I know if anything happened to me, my kids will be in good hands.

My parents in law do not have many cucu...3 migrated and live in the States, one in Ausralia..so basically they really devoted the love to Allysha and the twins...initially I was a bit uneasy with the whole situation, it took years for me to finally realize...it's ok to share the love..and as soon as I'm willing to share with them..things get easier...alhamdulillah...:)

Ok..that's not what I intended to share here...it supposed about Twins who just turned 4 on August 30th..(they couldnt wait for merdeka day..same allysha on 3rd July, on eve of US independence day)

Since their birthday this year falls on fasting month, we decided to just send the party packs to school..but Nyaii (grand auntie) and Mak long decided to hold a small family gathering and bake the cakes...

I'm telling you it was a painstaking effort for them as both are amateurs...from the process of combining few layers of cake to get the right size to fit the pictures of barbie doll and thinkerbell..which at the end the pictures broke and they had to resort to other decorations....i just shook my head..definitely I would just call SugarPinkIcing for that amount of works...

Nenek was busy half a day in the kitchen preparing lontong..(the twins love lontong so much)...while preparing the cakes, a few of my auntie's colleagues dropped by, she proudly telling them she was preparing for her twins cucu's birthday...

Overall..the birthday might not be the glamorous one, but I know all the neneks, atoks, pakciks and makciks were very happy....the twins? well as long as there were gifts and people singing happy birthday..that would enough for them:)

We celebrated their birthday 2 days earlier since atok and nenek are going for umrah..so on the day itself (30th August) we celebrated again, this time we took them out for dinner..luckily I had recovered from high fever just in time to celebrate their birthday

The twins saw this cake at Subang Empire Gallery..they insisted to have it..so another cake, quite small..butter cake with sugar cream icing, enough for 3 of them...

Hi peeps..lucky you if you're working in Selangor..this is going to be a loooong weekend..I bet you guys even take extra day off on Monday......unfortunately for me, working in KL, with 3 days left from my annual leave..leaving me with no option..no extra leave..just the weekend.

But..even that will not stop me from going away this weekend, hope I can squeeze in some times to do raya shopping for the kids.

ha...haaa..what a statement..that's from my hubby:)

I was torn between the 2 shoes for raya, I had earlier visited TOD's with my girlfriends and fell in love with this ballerina flats..unfortunately..it's reserved:(
Broken hearted, we moved to Stuart Weiszman and there's this bling-bling sandals....which my girlfriends said...it screams RAYA SHOES!!!

Went home I told hubby a.k.a banker, i found the perfect shoes for raya. Few days later he picked me up from office during lunch hour, I told him, "let's go to TOD's I want to show you this shoes, perfect size of 40 which is reserved by someone else..and I'm dying to have it if it's available..but dont worry..it's not:("
as soon as we reached TOD's, I asked the SA for shoes which I saw a couple of days back, while he went to look inside the store and my hubby went.. "Oh God, please dont make it available..ha..haaa"
The SA came out and I tried the shoes..i showed my hubby.."see..it's perfect and I can wear this to office for 365 days to come..." (the day before he complaint I hardly wear my Bally heels which he bought years back..the truth is I dont like heel..standing at 5'7" doesnt make me comfortable adding a couple of inches more.

"Yes..yess..you can say that now..i bet it will go into the box and never came out" he said.
I told him "worry not..the shoes is not available and let's go move to stuart to buy my Raya shoes."

Suddenly another SA came and told me "why dont you take it, i reserved for my customer, but she didnt pick up, it's been a while now, I guess..she change her mind.."
can you imagine my excitement??? jumping with joy..but I have a problem..i need that Raya Shoes..that's the main purpose that day. I told them "well, we dont expect to buy this shoes now, I need to check out other shoes first..in case my hubby prefers that one then I have to let go of this flats:("

So off we went to Stuart Weiszman..I tried on the bling2 sandals..walked around in that super yummy sandal..hubby sort of loved that sandal too..
"but I loved them both..I couldnt decide now..see..both fit me perfectly..both in size 40" being in size 40 sometimes leaving you with limited choice of nice shoes, most of the time especially shopping in KL, the land of petite people:(
I walked around few more rounds...."uuuuuurgghhhhh..seriously both are nice" at the end......

"why dont take them both?" you can imagine..I'm jumping up and down in that shop....."I love you..I love you....I love you Ba!!!!" As fate would have it..both are now MINES....alhamdulillah.. My hubby said.."you should be grateful to have a shoe connoisseur as your husband..I totally can relate to your love for shoes"..whatever laa Ba..as long as I can have my shoes..claimed or named whatever you want...

I have a slight problem later..which I noticed another pair of SW jelly sandals with nice detailing..shouting at me.."pick me..pick me!!!" uuurgghhhhhh........painful..:( but of course..hubby's generosity has the limit right?
